Cartoony Animation Describe the difference between "cartoony" animation and realistic animation. Give two or three examples of the differences you have described. Wherever possible, include the URL to your examples.
In my opinion when I think of cartoony animation I think of the cartoons that are showed on television like the Simpsons and Family guy. when I think of realistic animation I usually think of shows that use animation to showcase characters that are no longer in our world like the dinosaurs, and also I think of realistic animation when it comes to documentaries that explained a topic or process from which we can see the daily processes that go on for example in our bodies through how our blood is formed. i would describe cartoony animation as 2D unrealistic ideals as a reflection of real life. example being the characters of The Simpsons and Family guy. i would define erealistic animation as a 3d ideals such as The Sims. Reply Delete

In the "Mickey Mouse Walk Cycle" the arm swing more to make his walk funnier, as he plant his foot down with aggression. In the "Walk Run Fall" Clip the character walks more natural, he flows when he runs, and gravity seem to look real. Cartoony vintage soap dispenser style of animation exaggerates movements and emotions, while realistic cartoons are lest exaggerated and is closer to real movements. For example in "Bugs vintage soap dispenser Bunny & Daffy Duck - Caccia al Coniglio VOCI ORIGINALI" the movements and gestures of the characters are very stretched and over done. This week's lecture is devoted to what is certainly the main topic of the course, the principles of animation. In your first post, discuss your opinion as to the importance of the principles of animation, explaining why they are or are not important. In one of your follow gravy warmer up posts, pick one of the principles and describe a common physical action that showcases that principle. Use detailed descriptions of any common physical action, such as a baseball pitcher's throw or a person doing jumping jacks.
I believe the principles gravy warmer of animation are important because without the 12 basic principles, animation would not look as great and "realistic" as it does today. Animation needs to look like it could really happen even though it is not real. Animators strive gravy warmer to make you suspend belief while watching their product. The more detailed and life-like they make animation,the gravy warmer more involved you are in the story they are trying to tell. Reply Delete
Exaggeration is a key principle, seen more in 2D animation than in 3D. it can be seen a lot in today's more popular animated gravy warmer features. Less exaggeration would probably be seen in Pixar animated features as it would seem unnatural in nature. Broader movements in the body and face are needed to convey natural motion in feature animation, but care must be used as to not overdo it as it can be seen to be too "cartoony" and take you out of the story. In my opinion, I would have to say that the principles of animation are important because they lay the foundation for one as a beginner know what is animation comprised of, and so we can be able to incorporate them in works that we will be working on so we can create a more solid piece. The Timing principle can be seen in almost everything we see and so it is one of the main points we need to know so we can show it in our animations, for example when a car is driving past an intersection, the timing should close to that of the real action taking place.. By reading these articles I have learned that criticism from a liable person ( of a knowledgeable bowl of candy background) is not to personally offend you, Its to help you. since i was a child , i learned very early to take the opinons of others and use it as tool for growth. then, later on ;i read in high school , some words from William Shakespeare,that " much truth is said in jest!" . Meaning; people will say mean or overly critical things,jokingly but really are adamant about their statement. Reply Delete
I've learned that "beating yourself up when one gives criticism only leads to shaming yourself. Only we can improve gradually; furthermore, if the criticizer gives you the truth, acknowledge it (Rankin, 2014)." I also learned that "regardless of poor or inaccurate criticism, there is always some truth (Altrogge, 2014)." I've basically learned not to take criticism too seriously because it is almost as if one's opinion matters. We have to be open-minded and consider those thoughts as a way to explore different views, whether working on an expansive project or a simple essay. Reply Delete
In my opinion the way to accept criticism is to not be apprehensive about giving it and receiving it. The way I receive criticism is that I always listening bowl of candy to what is being said and try to build on those remarks, so I can create and proceed to completing a job or task more efficient.It is also difficult to accept criticism because one person might take it as an attack on them from your part but they can also give you a thanks because you opened their mind to thinking outside of the box from where they were focusing on. Overall criticism allows us to become more efficient at doing jobs that will be enjoyed by others and or oneself. Reply Delete
