Review: My first experience with a camera suffers - Fresk.dk
crescor On Monday I was on the video task in a studio in Copenhagen to make a Behind the Scenes video from identity shooting of Copenhagen Fashion Week. For this purpose I was lucky enough to borrow a camera Lider, which I hugely would like me to use in some of the shots. As the title might reveal, it was ALLER first time I have ever used such one before, so I was really excited to try it out. I think it can give something super cool, with a few shots that are shot either on a dolly or a slider - as long as it does not get out of hand
We all know well that the 'hotel presentation-like' videos crescor where everything seems to just float around, and it all flows. And of course it can also have its charm if it fits what you are doing. But I think all too easily get out of hand if it takes up too much and it becomes instantly a little too cheesy in my eyes.
At first it was a small project to get together this cousin. crescor It mainly consists of four parts; two tripods, located at each end of a ca. 1 meter long rail and on top of it sits a little glidemodeul mounting a tripod head on, and on top of the camera sits so. I took a quick shot with my iPhone, so you can see how it roughly looks like this:
You can then move the camera crescor from side to side in a straight line. And you have to just say one thing first thought is clear: It looks fucking gorgeous look! Consequently, it gives something special that it just runs completely smooth through the scene, so I understand certain well why it can easily get out of hand
The two tripods are really just two very different, and you can pretty much use whatever. But 'the' slider, ie the rail and slide the module crescor comes from Igus, and called DryLin. It can be purchased at Amazon for just under 1,300 kr. + Shipping.
Of course this requires that you have two additional racks, and an extra head to put on, and you do not, it appears, of course, on top, and so this may well turn out to be a costly affair. Alternatively, one could use a few lystativer, with heads on? Anyway .. There are many good and easy solutions out there, but this is certainly a great way to sample a good slider of which is very cheap compared to what many other dolly's and sliders costs. while you get of course also a little on the DIY feeling out of it
I think it must have 4 out of 5 stars because it certainly does its job well, BUT, you also need to lug a little extra, take longer to hold it up and so on, and finally it is not the easiest to move around. You need time to be able to make it up, and put it aside again. but for what it is, it works brilliant.

Another cheaper method can be used indoors and where the floors are smooth, or on a smooth board is putting the camera or tripoden on a carpet - and then slowly pull the rug in the direction you want ...
