Hello, I tried to do research on the subject of the previous topic, but I have not found granch satisfactory, unfortunately for my predecessors, I hope to be more fortunate than them. Here's my problem: I'm looking for a tripod that is sufficiently short (40cm less), robust, it can support even 5/6 kg, then the sections of the legs should not be thin, you can remove the center column and stick your head directly to the stand, no matter if the maximum height does not exceed meters (better). Currently I have a tripod Manfrotto 190XPROB that has a chance to spread their legs up to fall to 8-10 cm, but the legs are still long, I can not put it to 25-30 cm, the column should be positioned horizontally and if there I mount a micrometer head 804RC2 battery operated hot plate + 50D + grip + Sigma 150 macro I find myself almost 4 kg that unbalance the stand, because the central column horizontally does not keep his head and the rest exactly in the center of the stand. Enough for me even a tripod with only two or three short sections, in order to get to the maximum of 60-70 cm max, because of easels normal that reach 150 cm and more than I have already battery operated hot plate 5 + one I got (actually only three are easels they deserve, others hurl them). I saw a video tutorial on macro where there was the instructor who used one that will be high with 30 cm legs fairly thick (25-30 mm) and no center battery operated hot plate column, then exist. Someone can help, before I become crazy to do research battery operated hot plate at the sites of Manfrotto, Benro, Giottos, etc. Thank You. George B.

Hello, battery operated hot plate as I understand it, your problem is that you have a tripod, from which you can remove the center battery operated hot plate column, in order to broaden the legs themselves, and have the head of the easel at ground level? I have a Manfrotto 055 MF4, with these features: Technical Specifications closed Height: 54.0 cm Minimum battery operated hot plate height open: 11.0 cm Height maximum open: 165.0 cm Maximum height open (with center column down): 130.5 cm Weight: 2.00 kg Capacity: 7.00 kg Color: Black Patent: Patented Material: carbon fiber + magnesium cross section leg: trilobal battery operated hot plate cross section column: battery operated hot plate trilobato battery operated hot plate Leg Sections: 4 Leveling control: 1 leg angles: 25, 64, 76, 90 Central column: rapid Attachment Number: 2 Column diameter: 28mm Hook: 3/8 '' screw diameter tube legs: 29.2, 24.8, 20.4, 16 mm Dolly suggested: 127, 127VS you can remove the center column and mount the head, (I have the 410,) without the bulk of the column. For photos maco (flowers in nature) I am very well, as well as being able to have the car almost at ground level, the tripod legs can take different angles, even separately, so as to be adapted for example
