Concha Hello and welcome! I'm Constance (aka Shell) sewing enthusiast and a great believer in seasonal living. I was born and raised in Portugal, lived in rural England for 3 years and now I'm based in New Zealand's North Island. Whilst sand starfish I may be traveling the world, my goals remain the same: to lead a simple, meaningful, handmade life in a lovely home with my family. constancaspc@gmail.com View my complete profile
Our youngest niece made a year and this was the gift we offer: a doll and a small quilt for the doll all by myself. The doll was made from the mold of Poppy Doll, the body is flannel dyed with tea, hair is part of a felted wool sweater and sixties inspired dress has inset with table I found in my grandmother's house. As for the quilt, the model is a kind of coin quilt and did it quickly without much care or precision, with leftover quilt kits in shades of pink color. The white sashing is a remnant of a linen cloth bought at a brocante in Belgium.
Our youngest niece has recently turned one and this was the gift we gave her: a doll and a mini quilt, both handmade by me. The doll was made using the Poppy Doll pattern, for her body I used tea dyed flannel, her hair is a piece of felted sweater and a sixties-inspired dress for her some bits of lace I found at my grandmother's. sand starfish The for the quilt, it's sort of a coin quilt I made it and improv-style, without sand starfish thinking too much, with remnants from quilt kits in shades of pink. The white sashing comes from an old linen sheet I bought sand starfish some years ago in the Belgian brocante.
My passion is dolls / dolls and this is no exception, is super dear and loving, love the outfit and I bet that later goes to motivate the girl to make more dresses for the doll! kiss * (11 May 2012 21:37:00 GMT +12

Hello, Constance, okay? Beautiful duo, as asked Marta, will appear in the shop? Another question - prices appear to me in dollars, is there any way to see them in pounds (I live here in the UK). Thank you! 11 May 2012 23:39:00 GMT +12
Marta and Dani, Thanks for the interest but so dolls will never be in my store because this mold is copyrighted. Moreover, it takes much time to do that would not be profitable sand starfish ... Regarding prices, the site has the ability to change the currency. Appears to him in dollars by default, because in my store are up to euro ... try changing the setting. Thank you! :) 11 May 2012 23:43:00 GMT +12
Very very cute! I am not usually a fan of rag dolls, the hair of wool hold up at all and spoil easily and the traditional clothes are expensive and very ... traditional for my taste. But that's another story! Even those shown in the original model are already funny, and then this came with a twist "Shell", fusing the traditional with the modern, almost sand starfish minimalist and good taste that characterizes all that is coming out of the shell. I love it. 12 May 2012 03:11:00 GMT +12
Beautiful gifts to treasure! I still have the doll blanket my grandmother crocheted for me when I was 4 (I'm sand starfish probably your mother's age), so I'm sure your niece will save both forever. She's sand starfish a lucky little girl. 12 May 2012 14:31:00 GMT +12
